
ALS Projects and Clients
Our team members are qualified logistics professionals with extensive experience and expertise in project managing major logistics operations in Sudan, often under very challenging circumstances.
Between 2002 and 2005, a number of our team served as core members of the Joint Military Commission in the Nuba Mountains which managed and monitored a ceasefire agreement in the region.
Since beginning operations in July 2005, we have won and successfully worked on a number of engineering and logistics projects throughout Sudan such as:
- Construction of the United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) team site in Rubkona in Unity State (N 9 18.150 E29 47.130);
- Gravel delivery contract for UNMIS in Melut (N10 26.344 E32 14.692), Wau (N 7 44.000 E27 59.000) and Aweil (N 8 47.333 E27 24.200) in southern Sudan;
- Drilled and provided a complete water purification system for UNMIS in Rubkona, including water storage facilities, to support 200 persons. ALS also provided free additional water resources to the local community;
- Built airplane hangers for UNMIS in Wau and Kadugli;
- Transport operations to Darfur and Southern Sudan for the United Nations Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA);
- Provision and set up of accommodation for Frontier Medical teams in Ed Damazin (N11 47.083 E34 20.033) Wau, Rubkona and Abyei (N 9 35.933 E28 26.267) in southern Sudan;
- Planning and construction of a new airport in Wau for the State Government of Western Bahr el Ghazel;
- Construction of 35 police stations in Darfur in the six African Union Mission in Sudan (AMIS) sectors
- Planning and construction of a 100 bed hotel facility in Wau;
- Construction of a 1300-meter airfield in Abyei to support ALS operations in the region;
- Improvement of road access and river crossings from Abyei to Gogrial (N 8 32.000 E28 07.000), Wau and Aweil.
