African Logistic Support

ALS Experience

African Logistic Support Service began operations in July 2005.

Since that time, we have won and completed successfully a number of engineering and logistics projects throughout Sudan, such as the construction of the United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) team site in RubKona (Unity State).

Our success is directly related to our team of trained logistics professionals, and their field experience; with many of them having worked as core members of the Joint Military Commission (JMC) which operated in the Nuba Mountains until last year.

Until the United Nations replaced the JMC in June 2005, the Commission was responsible for managing and monitoring the 2002 Nuba Mountains Ceasefire Agreement which led to the Comprehensive Peace Agreement between the Government of Sudan and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement/Army.

Our General Manager was Chief Administration Officer from 2002 until the end of the JMC’s mission, and other team members were project officers who managed a range of infrastructure projects in the mountains, such as the construction and improvement of more than 300km of roads, temporary river crossings and bridges, and airfields in Kauda, Lagawa, and Kadugli.
